Hello and welcome to this weeks CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop. We are CASEing the Holiday section of the Catalogue, pages 112-125.
I don’t usually do Christmas in July so I’ve chosen to CASE the “Thanks Friend” card on page 124. I plan to give this card to a wonderful friend who drove all the way to the Gold Coast with me on Monday. I had an interview to become a volunteer at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. And guess what……I was selected!!! Woohoo
I love the way the leaf has been done on this card. The Catalogue even tells you how they’ve achieved this effect. “Layer strips of cardstock then cut out a shape with the Leaflets Framelits Dies”. Too easy!! I don’t own the Leaflets Framelits Dies so I used the leaf from Seasonal Layers Thinlits.
I’ve finally had a chance to play with my Embossing Paste. Why have I waited so long to actually use it???? It’s so much fun and super easy. I love the dimension this gives my card after sponging it in Sahara Sand.
I’ve used Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke and So Saffron as layers for my leaves.
I think the Copper Foil Sheet really suits the colours of my card. I’ve used Lovely Words Thinlits for the sentiment “friend” and “wonderful” is from the Tabs for Everything stamp set.
Thanks for joining me again for CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. Next up is Bronwyn, I know you’re just going to love her creation. Make sure you hop around all of the team members and don’t forget to leave some love.
We’d love you to join in on the fun too. It’s super easy to just add your projects to our Facebook page.
Thanks for stopping by.
