#JOS004 Challenge – The Letter “B”

Joy of Sets Challenge Blog

Hello and welcome to my blog.  As the winner of  #JOS002 I was asked to be a “Guest Designer” for #JOS004.  How exciting!!!!!   This time the Challenge at Joy of Sets is to use a stamp set starting with the letter “B”.  I chose to use Baby Bear.

I’ve made two versions of a Sliding Easel Card using the Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.

This is the boy version in blue.

And the girl version in pink.

I’ve stamped the Baby Bear in Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede.  The balloons are punched with the Balloon Bouquet Punch.  If you look really closely you can see I’ve used the Fine Tip Glue Pen on the Bear’s eyes and nose to give them some shine.  The thread on the balloons is some retired Gold Cording Trim.

Here is a picture of the back of the card so you can see how it stands up.  I’ve used a fabulous tutorial from Sharon Burkert.  It’s super easy to follow and makes an impressive looking card.

I love a fancy fold card that folds flat and fits into a standard size envelope.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card today.  It was such an honour to be a “Guest Designer”.  I enjoy reading your comments so please leave some love.

Thanks for stopping by.

CTC 141 – Birthday – Pages 68-85

Hello everyone and welcome to our Sunday night CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  You may have hopped over from Angela’s Blog or you may be starting with me, either way I hope you hop around to all the Crew’s Blogs.  This week we are CASEing the Birthday section of the catalogue, pages 68-85.

CTC141

I’m not CASEing a card this week,  I’m CASEing these cute little gift bags that are hiding on page 68 of the Catalogue.

My Foil Frenzy DSP arrived last week and I was itching to use it.

I’ve used the 7.6cm x 15.2cm Gusseted Cellophane Bags from page 195.  I’ve filled them with my favourite chocolates, Lindt Balls.  If anyone saw my Birthday cake from last week they’ll know I love Lindt.

I’ve used Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist Finely Woven Ribbon which matches the Foil Frenzy DSP perfectly.

The little tags on the front are punched from the Pretty Label Punch and layered on top of a Foil Frenzy Scalloped Oval.  I’ve used Happy Birthday Gorgeous to stamp the tags.

I wasn’t touching the ribbon Mum…….really I wasn’t

Marvi CTC141

Marvi is such a ratbag cat.  He’s on a diet at the moment.  Anything that even looks like food is fair game.

Scrapbooking Global August Blog Hop

Scrapbooking Global August Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to my blog.  Myself and 22 other talented ladies are joining in on Scrapbooking Globals first ever Blog Hop.  How exciting is that!!!  You may be starting with me or you may have hopped over to me from my good friend Megan, make sure you check out all the blogs by clicking on the next button at the bottom of the post.

We are showcasing products from the wonderful 2017/18 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.  I’ve chosen a few products for my 12″ x 12″ layout.

Stampin' Cat Delightful Daisy Scrapbooking Global

I’ve die cut various sized circles from Delightful Daisy DSP and Wood Textures DSP.

I think these colours go great with the photo of my cat, Marvi.

Can you see the texture on my daisy?  I used some Embossing Paste and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks on some card stock then punched out some daisies with the Daisy Punch.

I’ve done the same thing with the word “Marvi”.  Embossing paste on some Tranquil Tide card stock then used the Large Letters Framelits to die cut the letters.

There’s more Embossing Paste on the small circle.  I’ve used the Decorative Mask like an Embossing Folder in my Big Shot to give the larger circle some texture.

Of course the subject of my layout was on hand for the photo shoot.  He is such a helpful assistant.  He features in my blog most weeks.

I hope you have enjoyed my project.  Now it’s time to hop over to Lisa, I’m sure you are going to love her amazing project.  Just click on the next button to continue on with the hop.  We enjoy reading your comments so please leave us some love.
