CTC193 – Graceful Glass – Pages 164-179

Stampin' Cat CTC193 Hardwood Love What You Do Stampin' Up!

Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  This week our inspiration comes from the Graceful Glass section, pages 164-179 of the Annual Catalogue.   You may have arrived here from Rebecca’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

This is the last week we’ll be CASEing from the Annual Catty for a while.  Next week we’re into the new 2018 Holiday Catalogue.  I can’t wait to get my Christmas Cards started this year.

CTC193

This week I’ve chosen to CASE the card on page 172 of the Annual Catalogue.  I’ve used the same colours but different stamp sets.  That’s what CASEing the Catty is all about.  Take your ideas from the Catalogue and use what you have to re-create them.

I wouldn’t have thought to put these colours together but I think they really work well together.

The card base is Tranquil Tide then I’ve added a layer of Coastal Cabana that’s been stamped with the background stamp Hardwood, I’ve used Coastal Cabana ink.  I’ve made 3 banners in different sizes in Tranquil Tide, Grapefruit Grove and Water Colour Paper.

The Tranquil Tide banner has been heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder using the same Hardwood background stamp.  The flower is from Love What You Do and has been stamped in Tranquil Tide ink then I’ve used an Aqua Painter to colour the flowers using Grapefruit Grove ink.  The sentiment is from Varied Vases and I’ve added some Grapefruit Grove 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon.

Marvi, my assistant, was on hand for the photo shoot.  I think he liked my card this week as he didn’t try to destroy it.

Next up on the Hop tonight is the lovely Elizabeth.  Just click on the button below to hop right over to see her beautiful creation.

Colour INKspiration Challenge CI40

Stampin' Cat CI40 Healing Hugs Tin Tile Embossing Folder Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my Blog.  Today’s card is for the Colour INKspiration Challenge CI40.  The colours for the Challenge are Early Espresso, Old Olive and Gorgeous Grape.  You can also add Basic Black, Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Metallics to your creation.

CI40

I love these gorgeous colours together.  I think Early Espresso and Copper are really good together as well.  I’ve used the amazing new Embossing Folder called Tin Tile with some Copper Embossing Powder.

The card base is Early Espresso layered with Very Vanilla Embossed two ways.  The flower and leaves are from Healing Hugs stamped in Gorgeous Grape and Old Olive then I’ve just fussy cut them.  I’ve added some Old Olive 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon down the left hand side of the card also.

I’ve added a cute little Copper Trim bow to my card as well.  I’m so in love with the Healing Hugs Distinktive stamp set.  The flower and leaves have been stamped with only one colour and they look amazing.

I hope you like today’s card.  Thanks for stopping by.

CTC192 – Tranquil Textures – Pages 154-163

Stampin' Cat CTC192 Painted Harvest Timeless Textures Stampin' Up!

Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  This week our inspiration comes from the Tranquil Textures section, pages 154-163 of the Annual Catalogue.   You may have arrived here from Rebecca’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve had another busy week with more family Birthdays, more 6am starts at work and another class on Friday but the highlight of my week was seeing Pink performing on Tuesday night.  Wow, she was fantastic.

CTC192

This week I’ve chosen to CASE the Painted Harvest card on page 157 of the Annual Catalogue.

Although I do like the colours used for this card I decided to use a new colour I haven’t used yet.  Merry Merlot is such a lovely rich colour I thought it would be perfect for this card.

My card base is Early Espresso with a layer of Merry Merlot then Wood Textures DSP.  I’ve added a light wash of Crumb Cake to some water colour paper with my Aqua Painter.  Then I stamped some random images from Timeless Textures all over it.  I’ve used Merry Merlot, Call Me Clover, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake ink.

The sunflower is Rich Razzleberry and Merry Merlot with an Early Espresso centre.  I’ve added some Burlap Ribbon and some Leaf Ribbon behind the flower.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings.

The next Blog to visit is the lovely Elizabeth.  Just click on the button below.
