CTC206 – CASE a Holiday Catalogue Colour Combination

Stampin' Cat CTC206 Stylish Christmas Shimmer Paint Stampin' Up!

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  This week our inspiration is to CASE a Holiday Catalogue Colour Combination.   You may have arrived here from Julia’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

CTC206

I’ve chosen the card from this weeks graphic.  The Blueberry Bushel and Lemon Lime Twist card from page 23.

2018 Holiday Catalogue Page 23

I think these colours look very striking together and make another great non-traditional Christmas card colour combination. (try saying that 3 times fast)

My card base is Blueberry Bushel stamped with the flourish stamp from the Stylish Christmas stamp set.  Then I’ve spritzed my card with a mixture of Frost White Shimmer Paint and Isocol.

I’ve stamped the flower in Lemon Lime Twist and the tiny little stars are Gray Granite.  I’ve Silver Heat Embossed the sentiment on some Vellum card stock.  I’ve found the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets are fantastic at adhering vellum and you can’t see it trough the vellum.  I’ve also added some Clear Faceted Gems to the centre of the flowers.

I think Marvi liked the faint smell of Isocol on my card.  At least he didn’t try and eat it.

Next up tonight is Rachel’s beautiful project.  Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.

ESAD December 2018 Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop

Stampin' Cat ESAD Joyous Noel Merry Christmas To All Stampin' Up!

ESAD Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my Blog.  It’s a busy night as I’m participating in two Blog Hop’s tonight.  The first Hop is with ESAD.  What is ESAD I hear you ask?

What is ESAD?

I’m joined by 19 lovely Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from Australia and New Zealand and we’re going to bring you some quick and easy Christmas inspiration using products from the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.  You may have hopped over from the lovely Cathy Pinchbeck, thanks for continuing on with me.  Make sure you complete the full Hop, there’s a Participant List at the end of my post just in case you get lost along the way.

2018 Holiday Catalogue Front Cover

This Christmas will be the first Christmas in 35 years that I haven’t worked in Retail.  Wow, I’m feeling less stressed than I normally do this time of year.  I’ve even got all my Christmas cards made, the tree is up and I’m feeling organised.  If you’re not that organised I’m sure you’ll find plenty of inspiration in this Blog Hop.  Don’t forget there’s only 22 days until Christmas!!!

I’ve made two quick and easy cards using my favourite DSP in the 2018 Holiday Catalogue.  Joyous Noel Specialty DSP is so stunning with the Copper Foil accents.  I will be sad to see this DSP go.

I’ve used a Thick Whisper White card base then adhered some DSP.  I’ve added a couple of borders to the DSP, one card has Tranquil Tide and the other Grey Granite.  There’s also a Copper Foil border on both cards.

I’ve added some Suite Season Specialty Washi Tape to some card stock then used the Merry Christmas To All Thinlits Dies to die cut my words.  This is a quick and easy way to add a little bit more copper shine to my cards.  Adding some Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to the back of the card stock makes adhering the words super easy.

These cards look so shiny and Coppery (is that a real word) in real life.  My photos don’t do them justice.  I’ve tried to capture their shine in the next couple of photos.

The sentiments have been embossed with Copper Embossing Powder and are from the Merry Christmas To All stamp set.  I’ve used the Classic Label punch to punch them out.

I asked my assistant, Marvi, to pose for a photo and this is what I got.  We might get a better pose next time.  I think he really just wanted a tummy rub lol.

Next on tonight’s hop is Monique Fielder, you’re going to love her creation.  Just click on the “Next” arrow to hop on over.

CTC205 – Case a Birthday Card and give it a Christmas Twist

Stampin' Cat CTC205 All Is Bright Sprig Punch Stampin' Up!

Welcome to another CASEing the Catty Blog Hop.  This week our inspiration is to take any Birthday card and give it a Christmas Twist.   You may be starting with me or you may have arrived from Simone’s gorgeous creation.  Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

CTC205

The choices were endless but I finally narrowed it down to the “Best Wishes” card on page 146 of the Annual Catalogue.

Here’s a closer look at the card I used as my starting off point, you may have to use plenty of imagination as the finished product looks nothing like this.

I love using Night of Navy for Christmas cards so that’s where I started.

I’ve embossed a Whisper White piece of card stock with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder then adhered it to my Night of Navy card base.  I’ve coloured some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper with my Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend, it looks so sparkly in real life.

The word “Merry” has been die cut with the Merry Christmas Thinlits.  First I used my Aqua Painter with Blueberry Bushel, Pacific Point and Night of Navy ink on a piece of Shimmer White card stock.  Do you like the variation in colour?

Stampin' Cat CTC205 All Is Bright Sprig Punch Stampin' Up!

I’ve fussy cut some leaves from the Peaceful Noel stamp set and punched out some Night of Navy sprigs with the Sprig Punch.  The word “Christmas” is from the Merry Christmas To All stamp set.

My assistant, Marvi, was not really interested in my card this week.  Although he did pose for a photo.

Next up tonight is Fi’s beautiful project.  Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.
