CTC259 – Case Anything From the 2019 Holiday Catalogue
Hello and welcome to my blog. Sunday night means it’s time for CASEing the Catty. This will be our last blog hop for the year. We’re looking forward to you joining us in the new year as we share some inspiration from the new January-June 2020 Mini Catalogue and the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue.
This week we get to CASE absolutely anything from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue. With so much choice, how do you choose something to CASE? You may have hopped over from Siobhan’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I automatically turned to my favourite products in the catalogue, the Feels Like Frost Suite. I’ve nearly used two whole packets of Feels Like Frost DSP, I love it that much. My eye was drawn to the card at the top of page 40.
With this CASE my focus was on the Frosted Frames Dies rather than the DSP. The card in the catalogue is fairly simple but I wanted to step it up and add some richness and elegance to it.
My card base is Basic Gray then I’ve added a layer of Noble Peacock Specialty DSP, which has a thin border of Smokey Slate top and bottom. The main die cut piece is also Basic Gray with a layer of Smoky Slate. I’ve added a couple of Pretty Peacock leaves under my sentiment layer.
The sentiment is from Frosted Foliage and is stamped in Pretty Peacock. I’ve also added a couple of Champagne Foil snowflakes. It doesn’t really look anything like the card I took my inspiration from but that’s the beauty of CASEing the Catty, it doesn’t need to. We made this card in my card class on Friday and everyone loved it.
Marvi and I would like to thank everyone for supporting our CASEing the Catty group and Blog Hops throughout the year. Thanks for all the lovely comments and likes. We’ll be back next year with some more wonderful inspiration. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
