Hello and welcome to my blog. It’s lovely seeing the sun again this week after the torrential rain from last week. I hope the weather stays nice for Easter. What are you planning over your Easter break? There’s a strong possibility I’ll be crafting.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing any project and giving it an Easter twist. You may have hopped over from Siobhan’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

I’ve chosen to CASE the “Always A Celebration” card on the right hand side of page 117 of the Annual Catalogue.

I’ve changed the flowers to “Easter Eggs” using the same fun, bright colours as the sample card.

My card base is Bermuda Bay with a layer of Whisper White. I’ve stamped some Melon Mambo Easter Eggs from the Arrange A Wreath stamp set then die cut them with the co-ordinating Wreath Builder Dies. The Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana “eggs” are die cut using the Pierced Blooms Dies. I think they are supposed to be flower centres but they make pretty good Easter eggs.

For the sentiment I’ve used the word “Easter” from the Arrange A Wreath stamp set and “Blessings” is from Itty Bitty Greetings.

I’ve added some Blushing Bride “dots” using the In Bloom stamp set and some Woven Threads Sequins finish off my card perfectly.

Mr Marvi thought he might be able to eat the “Easter Eggs” after I’d taken his photo. Fortunately the card did not sustain too much damage.

Hello and welcome to my blog. Can you believe that the best part of March has already gone and it’s been nearly 12 months since Covid19 changed the way we live. Where has that year gone? It will be Easter before we know it.

This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the tie layout on page 66 of the January-June Mini Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Rose’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.

Here’s a breakdown of the sketch layout.

I started out sticking closely to the original card, using Just Jade, Flower’s For Every Season DSP and Forever Greenery DSP. I think I was channelling St Partick’s Day with all the green lol.

I hadn’t had much of a chance to play with the Well Suited Suite so I kept going and made a second card. Misty Moonlight, Flower’s For Every Season DSP and Boho Indigo DSP.

My third card uses Basic Black, Flower’s For Every Season DSP and True Love DSP. I’ve embossed the pockets with the Subtle Embossing Folder and added in some retired Black Foil Sheet along the top.

Marvi was napping on his mat, it’s been an overcast and rainy weekend here in Queensland so he was catching up on some sleep.

I’ve used the “Friends Are Like Seashells” card on page 78 as my inspiration. The third card from the left.

I’ve used the Pierced Blooms Dies instead of the Seaside Seashells Dies.

I’ve created my background by using my Balmy Blue and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Markers on Clear Block E then spritzing with water and stamping on some Watercolour paper. The flowers are die cut from Purple Posy, Pool Party, Highland Heather and Soft Sea Foam. The centres of the flowers are Silver Foil Sheet

The sentiment is from the Free As A Bird stamp set and is White Heat Embossed on Pool Party card stock. I’ve added some retired Silver Cording Trim and some Rhinestones to the centre of the smaller flowers.

Marvi is clearly think “hurry up and take a pic Mum, I’ve got things to do”. I wish he’d pose like this every week.
