CTC328 – Case The Sketch From Page 33 – Annual Catalogue
Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the layout of the “you more than measure up” card on page 33 of the Annual Catalogue. Now I know last week I said I wasn’t ready for Christmas but I’ve made two more Christmas cards. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
Here is a breakdown of the sketch.
I’ve made two cards for this challenge. This is the first card I made using Misty Moonlight, Blushing Bride and Beauty of the Earth DSP.
I stamped then die cut the tree, using the Whimsical Trees Bundle, in Blushing Bride then added the Misty Moonlight dots over the top. I’ve added some Blushing Bride ink with a Blending Brush to the Basic White card stock behind the tree. I’ve also run the tree through the Dots Embossing Folder, although it’s a bit hard to tell by my photo.
The tree decoration is die cut from some Be Dazzling Specialty Paper, free in the August-September Sale-a-bration Catty. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Deer stamp set and is white heat embossed on Misty Moonlight card stock. I’ve layered the sentiment over some Blushing Bride 3/8″ Frayed Grosgrain ribbon.
I didn’t want to waste the Be Dazzling negative from my tree decoration so I made a second card using Very Vanilla, Basic Black and Simply Elegant Specialty DSP.
The Be Dazzling Specialty Paper is so very dazzling. It reminds me of a glow mesh purse my Mum used to have. Hands up if you’re old enough to remember glow mesh lol.
Marvi has been in big trouble this week, he escaped my “escape proof” backyard and went visiting my neighbour, not once but three times. He’s too clever for his own good.
It’s time to hop over and see Rose’s wonderful creation. Just click on the next button below.
