Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we have a sketch challenge. We are CASEing the card on page 71 of the Annual Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

Here is a breakdown of the sketch.

I’ve used the new Waves Of The Ocean Suite for my CASE this week. Although I’ve only used three small squares of this DSP I think it makes a huge impact on my card.

My card base is Night of Navy followed by a layer of Basic White. The next layer of Night of Navy has been embossed with the Bark embossing folder. I’ve used the retired Layering Squares Dies to die cut three Waves of The Ocean DSP squares. I’ve then layered those squares onto the gorgeous Blue Foil Specialty Paper.

The sentiment is from the Sentimental Swirls stamp set and is stamped in Night of Navy ink. I’ve also added some Blue Foil birds. It’s very hard to capture the gorgeous shine on this foil specialty paper.

Marvi was not very enthusiastic about my card this week. Maybe he didn’t notice those Blue Foil birds.

Hello and welcome to my blog. We’re CASEing an animal card from either catalogue this week. You may have hopped over from Rachel’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’m CASEing an “In The Wild” card from page 44 of the Annual Catalogue. Even though I’m a cat lover I don’t have any of this suite.

I’ve used the Crane of Fortune Bundle instead. I’ve had this suite for a little while and haven’t used it yet.

My card base is Crumb Cake card stock and I’ve added five Tidings Of Christmas DSP strips, then some beautiful Symbols of Fortune DSP. I’ve stamped my crane in Crumb Cake and used the matching die to die cut it.

The sentiment is from the Art Gallery stamp set and is white heat embossed on some Calypso Coral card stock, to tie in with the flowers in the DSP. I’ve also added some Basic Pearl Jewels.

I’m not sure if Marvi is impressed that I put a bird on the card instead of a cat.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we are CASEing a masking project from either Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Rachel’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve used the Acetate Card Box on the right hand side of page 30 of the Mini Catalogue, as my inspiration.

I liked the background created with one of the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks.

My card base is Evening Evergreen with a layer of Garden Green. I’ve used Petal Pink ink, mask and a blending brush to create my background. The plants have been fussy cut from the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP.

The sentiment is from the Celebrating You stamp set and is white heat embossed. I’ve also added some Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon.

I found Marvi in the kitchen looking for crumbs of food I may have dropped. He eats almost anything, can you tell from the size of him that he likes his food. And my food. Well, any food actually.
