Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we’re CASEing any project from the Annual Catalogue. The current Annual Catalogue ends on the 2nd May so we’re giving it a fabulous send off. With so many wonderful projects to choose from I found it difficult to choose a project to CASE. I ended up choosing the card in the centre of page 72.

I’ve made my card the standard C6 size instead of square and I’ve changed the colour scheme.

My card base is Basic Black then I’ve added a layer of Basic White. I’ve then added another layer of Basic Black with a layer of Vellum Layering Designs over the top. There’s three thin strips of Simply Elegant SDSP behind my next Basic White layer.

The flowers have been fussy cut from the Simply Elegant SDSP and the branch they’re sitting on is from the Cherry Blossoms Dies.

Marvi was distracted by something other than my card. I think he saw a gecko or a grass hopper in the garden.

Hello and welcome to my blog. Happy Easter, I hope you’ve had a wonderful Easter and have managed to spend some quality time with family. This week we’re CASEing your Favourite Retiring DSP. You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’m using the gorgeous Expressions In Ink Specialty DSP for my card this week. I’ve CASEd the tulip card on page 39 of the Annual Catalogue.

It’s a very simple card, this SDSP doesn’t need a lot of embellishment. I wanted to show as much of this beautiful paper as I could.

My card base is Shaded Spruce followed by a layer of Basic White. Then a layer of the SDSP.

I’ve added some Basic White Meadow Dies die cuts and a couple of gold foil embellishments. The sentiment is from Inspired Thoughts.

I think this weeks card matches Marvi’s eyes. What do you think?

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing an Easter Project. You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve used the bottom card in the above graphic as my inspiration. Hopefully you can see some similarities between the two projects. I don’t usually make Easter cards so my take on this card is extremely different.

My card base is Thick Basic White with a layer of Soft Suede. I’ve then added some In Good Taste DSP. I love the texture in the top piece of DSP, I think it looks a little bit like the sky. I’ve made the curve on the grey piece of DSP with the Inspiring Canopy Dies. The grass and rocks are from the Oceanfront stamp set.

The posts and pelicans are from the Waves Of Inspiration stamp set and are in place of the ducks on the sample card. I knew I needed this stamp set as soon as I saw the pelicans, as I live in a suburb called Pelican Waters. The sentiment is from the Inspired thoughts stamp set and is white heat embossed.

I don’t think Marvi is very impressed with my card at all, judging by the look on his face!!! This was the best photo I could get.
