Hello and welcome to my blog. We’re CASEing from the Artistic Expression section of the Annual Catalogue, pages 90-119. You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

There’s so many beautiful projects to choose from in this section, I’ve gone with the “Thank You” card in the top left of page 104. It looks like Michelle has CASEd the same card, however we have totally different projects.

The sample card uses the Texture Chic Specialty DSP in the background. I’ve used the same SDSP but not as a background. Although this SDSP is technically not a Christmas SDSP I think it works well.

My card base is Thick Basic White and I’ve layered another piece of Basic White over the top. This piece has been embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. Next I’ve added a piece of Pool Party card stock to arrange my Christmas ornaments on. I’ve used the Spruced Up Outlines Dies, once on Basic White card stock and then again on Texture Chic SDSP. These dies cut the outline and the ornament all at the same time, how’s that for clever.

As I had two of each die cut I made a second card, two for the price of one lol. I’ve used Pool Party as my card base and added a piece of Petal Pink. Which card do you like the best? I like the first one myself.

The sentiment is from the Peaceful Deer stamp set and I’ve added a little star to the round ornament. I’ve also added a piece of Gold Simply Elegant Trim to the left of the ornaments.

This is the best picture I could get of Marvi. I had to trim his nails as he was clawing the new bed I got for the spare room. He and I were not on speaking terms for a couple of days because he moved at a crucial moment and I clipped one nail too short and it bled. I don’t think he’s forgiven me yet.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we have a sketch challenge based on the “Hey, Hey’ Hey” card on page 10 of the SAB Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve turned this sketch into a Christmas card, replacing the oval with a Christmas Tree.

My card base is Soft Succulent which I’ve stamped with a snow flake design from the Christmas Lights stamp set. Next is a piece of Lights Aglow SDSP with a Basic White piece behind it. The Christmas Tree is die cut from the Festive Foils SDSP using the Twinkling Lights Dies.

The sentiment is from the Trees For Sale stamp set and is White Heat Embossed. I’ve added some Simply Elegant Trim and a Brushed Metal Dot to the centre of the star on the top of the tree. This card really sparkles with the gold accents in both SDSP’s however it’s hard to capture in a photo.

There’s not much enthusiasm from Marvi today, he’s enjoying the sun after two days of rain here in Queensland.

Hello and welcome to my blog. I can’t believe another week has flown by. It’s been such a busy week with work, classes, a trip to the emergency dept for my partner (he crushed the end of one of his fingers), family birthday’s and of course CASEing the Catty. I didn’t think I was going to make it this week with my card but I got there.

We’re CASEing the Boughs of Holly Suite on page 24 of the Mini Catty. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

There’s only 5 projects on page 24 of the Mini Catty and the “Season’s Greetings” card stood out for me, I love the colour combination.

My card base is Soft Suede followed by layers of Soft Succulent the Basic White. I’ve used the Merriest Moments stamp set to stamp the holly leaves and branches. I’ve used Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Soft Succulent and Mossy Meadow ink. I’ve used the second generation stamping method, with the Mossy Meadow ink, to create the lightest green holly leaves.

The sentiment has been stamped in Old Olive ink using the Brightest Glow stamp set then die cut using the Painted Label Dies. I’ve added two pieces of Gold & Vanilla 3/8″ Satin Edge Ribbon behind the sentiment. I’ve also add a couple of Gold Holly Leaves and some For Everything Fancy Sequins. These sequins have been my “go to” choice of embellishment lately, there seems to be a sequin colour to match almost every card I’ve made.

Here’s my trusty assistant Marvi, ready to pose for photos. He always seems to be just in the right place at the right time. I’ve added an extra photo this week, I didn’t notice he was sitting on the bar stool at the kitchen bench when I was taking photos of my flowers.
