CTC415 – Case Your Favourite Retiring DSP
Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing our Favourite Retiring DSP, from either Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.
I’m using the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper, the designs in this pack feature pastel hues painted on canvas. The designs are very reminiscent of Impressionist greats like Monet and Van Gogh.
I’m CASEing the “Congratulations” card on the left hand side of page 14 of the Mini Catalogue.
My card base is Basic Black followed by a layer of Fancy Flora DSP. I love the design on this piece of DSP so I’ve only added minimal embellishments. The three flowers are stamped in Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede ink using the Two-Tone Flora stamp set. I’ve White Heat Embossed three leaves from the same stamp set on Basic Black Cardstock.
I’ve also die cut some Gold Fine Shimmer Paper leaves, using the Forever Flourishing Dies. This paper adds a lovely subtle shimmer to my card however it’s hard to see in my photo. Although this Shimmer paper is technically not a DSP I will miss it as I’ve used it on many projects. It’s part of the Fancy Flora Suite Collection and is currently reduced to $14.00 AU per pack. The sentiment is from the Something Fancy stamp set.
Mr Marvi was all eyes today. I’m not sure those eyes were for my card though.
