Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing a Colouring Project. You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve CASEd the “hello” card on page 41 of the Annual Catalogue. This card uses Water Painters to colour a die cut.

I’ve changed the colour of the card and used a different die cut. This colouring technique would work on most die cuts.

My card base is Thick Basic White followed by a layer of Bubble Bath. The next Basic White layer has been embossed with one of the embossing folders from the 3 pack Online Exclusive Basics 3D Embossing Folders. Every time I use one of these embossing folder in a class I’m asked what the name of the folder is. Being an Online Exclusive product I can see how they can be easily overlooked.

I’ve added five Basic White stripes to the embossed layer. They are die cut using the Sending Dies. The floral die is from the Artistic Dies and I cut it from Basic White then coloured it with Bubble Bath, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green and Garden Green, leaving the circular flowers white.

The sentiment is from the Gorgeously Made stamp set and is stamped in Garden Green. I’ve added some Loose Silver Sequins for a touch of bling.

Here’s Marvi posing nicely with my card. He was outside enjoying the beautiful Queensland winter sun.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing a Punch Project from the Annual Catalogue. I don’t have many of the current punches so I found this challenge a little difficult. You may have to stand on one leg, tilt your head to the left hand side and squint to see any resemblance to the CASEd project lol.

I’ve chosen to CASE the “life is sweet” cherry card on the left hand side of page 20.

The sample card has a row of cherries and a multi coloured sentiment, my card has a row of flowers and a multi coloured sentiment.

My card base is Misty Moonlight followed by a layer of Basic White. The Basic White layer has been stamped with the largest leaves image from the Petal Park stamp set. I stamped a bunch of flowers in Bubble Bath, Highland Heather and Gray Granite then used the co-ordinating Petal Park Builder Punch to punch them out.

The sentiment is from the Charming Sentiments stamp set. I White Heat Embossed the first line of the stamp “Wishing You The” on a piece of Basic Black. I then stamped the whole sentiment in Highland Heather and used the co-ordinating dies, Sentiment Silhouettes, to die cut it. I also used the same die on a piece of Highland Heather and sat it under the sentiment. The word “of” is stamped in Gray Granite then I fussy cut it and popped it up on a dimensional. I’ve added a few Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a little bit of bling.

Marvi was sunning himself on the outside lounge so I took a quick picture. At least he’s not trying to eat my card this week.

Hello and welcome to my blog. I’m back after taking a break last week and heading to Victoria for a weeks holiday. We spent 4 days at Wangaratta catching up with my partners family then 3 days in Melbourne city. The daytime temperature didn’t get over 9 degrees, which is very cold for us Queenslanders. We had a great week away until it was time to head home. Our 7.05pm Bonza flight home was cancelled 3 and a 1/2 hours before we were due to take off. Apparently all passengers received a text message and an email with the cancellation details however we didn’t receive anything. With no other Bonza flights leaving that day we were stranded at the airport. After some frantic googling we managed to get on a Virgin flight to Brisbane that night. Our return Bonza flight was into Maroochydore and I’d arranged a car service to pick us up so I had to cancel that and my wonderful sister drove down to Brisbane to pick us up when we landed at 11.00pm. I don’t think we’ll be flying Bonza again any time soon.

I’ve CASEd the “Overflowing with Happiness” card on the left hand side of page 98 of the Annual Catalogue.

I’ve changed up the colours however I’ve kept to the sample card layout.

I’ve give my card a softer look using Soft Sea Foam and Bubble Bath. The floral images are from the Bottled Happiness stamp set and the sentiment is from the Charming Sentiments stamp set.

I’ve used a strip of Delightfully Eclectic DSP on the left hand side of my card. The sentiment is die cut using the Something Fancy Dies. I’ve added some White Baker’s Twine and some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Marvi really missed us while we were away, he hasn’t left my side since I’ve got home. My lovely neighbours and Marvi’s Grandparents popped in twice a day to check on him and feed him. Here he is trying to eat my card, that must be my punishment for leaving him for a week.
