Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we are CASEing the Colours of Winter Meadow DSP. The colours in this DSP are Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon, Misty Moonlight, Blueberry Bushel, Moody Mauve and Smoky Slate. What better way to CASE the Winter Meadow DSP colours than to use the Winter Meadow DSP. I’ve CASEd the card in the bottom left hand corner of the above photo.

My CASE is a standard size card in landscape orientation rather than the sample card, which is square. Instead of using squares for my card I used the irregular hexagon die from the Something Fancy dies. I die cut 9 irregular hexagons and arranged them on a piece of Basic White card stock. Once I was happy with my layout I adhered them to my card stock and trimmed off the edges. I added some Silver & White 1/2″ Sheer Ribbon between the two patterns of DSP which adds just a touch of sparkle.

The sentiment is from the Brightest Glow stamp set and is stamped in Blueberry Bushel. I added some Lost Lagoon die cut leaves behind the sentiment. I used my Stampin’ Write Markers on the stamped image then die cut it with the co-ordinating Magical Meadow Dies. I’ve finished off my card with a couple of Adhesive Backed Sequins in Pretty Peacock from the trio pack.

Marvi was hanging around in the kitchen so I took a quick picture. You’d think he’d be in the backyard now my friends dog has gone home. That’s cats for you, they only want to do something if they’re not allowed to.

Hello and welcome to my blog. We have a sketch challenge for you this week, using the Halloween card on page 48 of the Mini Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Rebecca’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I find a layout is one of the easiest things to CASE however I really struggled with this layout. I’m not sure why I found it difficult, maybe the skeleton cowboy and his little skeleton dog spooked me haha.

I made my card a Christmas card as I don’t usually make halloween cards. My card base is Gray Granite followed by a layer of Basic White. I then added a layer of One Horse Open Sleigh DSP which has a beautiful woodgrain pattern. I’ve used the Christmas Classics Dies on Pebbled Path card stock to cut my central image, which I think is a similar shape to the sample card.

I die cut some extra Gold Foil berries and Night of Navy holly leaves and adhered them over the top of the original die cut. This helps to tie in with the Night of Navy and Gold 1/2″ Glittered Ribbon. The sentiment is from the Christmas Classics stamp set and is stamped in Night of Navy.

Marvi is either telling me how much he likes my card or telling me he doesn’t want Mike the dog in his backyard any longer. We’ve been looking after a friends dog for the last 9 days but his humans are back from their holiday and he’s going home today, I think Marvi will be pleased.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we’re CASEing any project from the Annual Catalogue and giving it a twist. You may have hopped over from Rachel’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve CASEd the “Happy Birthday” slimline card from page 46 of the Annual Catalogue.

Instead of stamping and colouring animal images on circular die cuts I’ve made the circles a feature by using some Snowflake Magic Specialty DSP and the Deckled Circle Dies.

This special DSP is simply beautiful, however my photos don’t really do it justice. To tie in with the circular theme I’ve embossed the Basic White layer behind the circles with one of the Cheery Patterns Embossing Folders. Have you noticed these Embossing Folders in the current Mini Catty? They are a set of two folders on page 60 of the Mini Catty.

The trees are die cut in Basic Black card stock using the Forever Forest Dies and the sentiment is Silver Heat Embossed on Pretty Peacock card stock. The sentiment is from the Brightest Glow stamp set.

I’m looking after a friend’s dog at the moment and Marvi is not impressed there’s a dog in his backyard so he’s been keeping close just in case. He really is a big scaredy cat, all Mike the dog wants to do is sniff him lol. Please excuse my messy craft desk, I wasn’t sure if Marvi would cooperate for a photo this week so I had to take a pic when I could.
