Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing any Kit Card or Project from either catalogue. What’s your favourite SU kit?

My CASE is inspired by one of the cards from the Colourful Kaleidoscope Kit, at the bottom of page 13 of the Annual Catalogue.

I’ve made my card into a Christmas card again this week. Can you ever have too many Christmas cards?

My card base is Pebbled Path followed by a layer of Gray Granite. I’ve die cut the Gray Granite using the Online Exclusive dies, Elegant Borders. The tree patterned DSP is from the One Horse Open Sleigh online exclusive paper pack. I’ve added some Forever Forest die cut trees in Pebbled Path, Basic Black and Bubble Bath. I find these neutral colours very easy to work with but my card just needed something……..why not a pink tree?

The sentiment is from the Christmas Greetings stamp set and is White Heat embossed on Basic Black card stock. I’ve added a thin strip of Bubble Bath card stock behind the sentiment, to tie in with the pink tree. I’ve also added a few Loose Silver Sequins.

Mr Marvi was hanging out on my craft desk so I took a quick picture. This is a much better pose than last weeks photo.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we’re CASEing a Punch Project from the Mini Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve chosen to CASE the “Happy Birthday” card on page 57 of the Mini Catty. It uses two punches, the Ink & Tiled Punch Pack and the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch.

My card looks vastly different to the sample card however I hope you can see the similarity. Some weeks what I picture in my head and what my CASE’d card looks like are two completely different things.

My card base is Thick Basic White followed by a layer of Basic Black. The sample card has a “splattered” background so the next layer of Basic White has some Gold Embossed “splatters”, I’ve used a stamp from the Quiet Meadow stamp set. I’ve die cut three snowflakes from some Gold Adhesive-backed Glimmer Paper using the Chic Dies. These are instead of the four punched crosses. Have you seen the Online Exclusive Adhesive-backed Glimmer paper? It’s amazing.

I’ve Gold Heat Embossed some “splatters” on a scrap piece of Basic Black then used the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a circle. I’ve added a few thin strips of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper behind the circle. The sentiment is also Gold Heat Embossed and is from the Christmas Classics stamp set.

I didn’t want to waste the negatives from the three die cut snowflakes so I created a second card. This was a quick and easy card with a little more Gold Heat Embossing and a sentiment.

Marvi was not co-operating for a photo this week. Can you believe this was the best photo I could get? He was too busy rolling around on the concrete to pose nicely.

Hello and welcome to my blog. We’re CASEing from the Garden Walk section of the Mini Catty this week, pages 52-55. You may have hopped over from Julia’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve CASEd the Christmas card on page 54, fussy cutting the flowers from the Garden Walk DSP.

I’ve changed the colours however I’ve kept to the basic layout.

My card base is Lost Lagoon followed by layers of Basic White then Inked Botanicals DSP. All of the flowers have been fussy cut, even those tiny little white flowers. I did manage to lose a few along the way with Marvi’s help.

I cut a Pretty Peacock Oval Punch in half and added it behind my sentiment. I’ve added some Wink of Stella to the flowers to give the card some shine.

Marvi was out and about in the backyard so I took the opportunity to get a photo. I’m not sure what he’s looking at but it wasn’t my card.
