Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing an embossing project. You can choose any kind of embossing such as heat embossing, embossing folders or using embossing paste, the choice is yours.

I’ve used the “You’re Invited” card on page 107 as my inspiration however I’ve turned it into a Christmas Card instead of an invitation.

I’ve changed the layout from portrait to landscape and also changed the colour scheme but I think you’ll see some resemblance to the sample card, other than the heat embossed sentiment haha.

I know it’s only July but yes, this is my first Christmas card for the year. My card base is Basic Beige followed by a layer of Pool Party then a layer of Country Lace DSP. I’ve used the Online Exclusive Golden Greenery stamp set and matching dies to create the pine leaves. This is a two step stamp set and if you look closely you’ll see I’ve stamped the leaves in Mossy Meadow then I’ve White Heat Embossed the second stamp over the top. There’s also some leaves from the Cheerful Daisies and Unbounded Love Dies.

I’ve added a green and gold leaf directly die cut from the Season of Green & Gold SDSP, some die cuts from the Perennial Postage Dies and some Basic White Baker’s Twine. The sentiment is from the Greetings of the Season stamp set, another Online Exclusive product.

This week Marvi was wide awake and ready for a photo. No cat napping for this puss today.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week, we’re CASEing from the Mediterranean Blooms Suite, page 34 of the Annual Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Rochelle Laird-Smith’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve CASEd the ‘hello’ card in the bottom right hand corner of page 34. Instead of using the Mediterranean Blooms Suite I’ve used the Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP.

My card base is Lost Lagoon followed by one of the frames from Frames & Flowers SDSP. I think the frame of leaves look a little bit like the die cut frame on the sample card. I die cut some leaves using the Country Flowers Dies, on Pool Party card stock, then used a blending brush to add a touch of Lost Lagoon ink.

The Basic White circle is die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies and the stamped “hello” is from the Simply Said stamp set. The flowers are also from the Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP.

Marvi had a lot to say about my card this week however I’m not sure if it was positive or negative. I think he was telling me I shouldn’t have woken him up.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing a masking project. You may have hopped over from Michelle’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve used the butterfly card from page 124 as my inspiration. I think the masking technique used on this card is so easy yet gives a real wow factor.

I’ve gone for a more neutral colour scheme using Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake and Basic Beige ink.

I stamped the Enduring Beauty flowers onto a piece of Basic White card stock then die cut two flower die cuts and used them as masks to cover the flowers. I then used Masking Paper to create the border and with a Blending Brush I created the coloured background.

The sentiment is from the Labeled With Love stamp set and is White Heat Embossed on Basic Black card stock. I’ve added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies to finish off my card.

Mr Marvi was half in and half out of his favourite sunny spot in the bedroom. He opened his eyes just long enough to get a quick picture.
