There are endless possibilities for this weeks challenge and I found it hard to choose a project. In the end I decided on the “A Very Merry Christmas” card on page 42 of the Mini Catalogue.

#page42

I do have the Decorative Trees Bundle however I decided to use the online exclusive bundle called Frosted Forest. This bundle has a stamp set, co-ordinating dies and decorative masks.

I started with a Thick Very Vanilla card base followed by a layer of Basic Black then a layer of Season of Green & Gold SDSP. I used a Basic Black and Wild Wheat Stampin’ Write Marker to “flick” a bit of colour over the entire card. I used the Decorative Masks to colour the tree. Smoky Slate with the first mask, Basic Gray with the second mask then Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder with the third mask. I stamped the tree outline in Memento Black.

The sentiment is also Gold Heat Embossed on Basic Black card stock. I’ve added a Gold 1/8″ Trim bow. This card is quite sparkly in real life however hard to capture in a photo.

Marvi was all eyes today however I don’t think he even looked at my card. It’s been quite hot and humid here in Queensland this week. He found a little breeze and a cool floor and he stayed there for hours.

CTC Sunday Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we have a sketch challenge. We’re CASEing an Autumn card on page 36 of the Mini Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Andrea’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post

#page36

Here’s a breakdown of the sketch.

#page36

My CASE is another Christmas card, let’s face it, you can never have too many Christmas cards, right???

#ctc494 #stampin_cat #snowyscenesdsp #snowflakesky3demb #pompomribbon #decorativetrees #stampinup

My card base is Pool Party followed by a layer of Basic White. The next layer is Pool Party which has been embossed with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. I added some Versamark to the inside of the embossing folder then ran it through my cut and emboss machine. Then I added some Silver Embossing Powder and set it with my heat gun. I love how this turned out, the snowflakes are Pool Party and the background is Silver.

The snowglobe and trees are fussy cut from the Snowy Scenes DSP. I’ve added some 2024-2026 In Colour Glimmer Paper and a snowflake patterned piece of Snowy Scenes DSP. The sentiment is from the Decorative Trees stamp set and is die cut using the Greetings of the Season Dies. I’ve tucked a piece of Pool Party 5/8″ Pompom Ribbon under the sentiment.

Marvi didn’t look impressed with my card. Maybe all the silver heat embossing was too much for him.

Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we are CASEing from the Sentimental Christmas Suite, page 28 of the Mini Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Rochelle Blok’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.

I’ve CASEd the card in the middle of page 28 using the Winter Meadow DSP.

I was a little pushed for time this week so my card is a simple card, I’ve let the gorgeous DSP do all the work. The card base is Thick Basic White followed by a layer of Night of Navy then a layer of DSP.

#ctc493 #stampin_cat #wintermeadow #thoughtfuldesigns #glitteredribbon #stampinup

I’ve added a piece of Thoughtful Designs SDSP, some Night of Navy 1/2″ Glittered Ribbon and some 2024-2026 In Colour Shimmer Gems. The sentiment is from the Decorative Trees stamp set.

Marvi was helping in my craft room, here he is leaning on my guillotine. Somehow my card ended up underneath him. He may have been attracted to the glittered ribbon.
