Hi and welcome to another Sunday night CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. This week we are CASEing any project from the Annual Catalogue and giving it a Christmas Twist. You may have started the hop with Rebecca, thanks for continuing on with me.
I flicked through the Catalogue a few times before I chose a card to CASE. There were too many options to choose from. My CASE is inspired by the Happy Birthday card on page 161.
Now to put a Christmas Twist on it.
I’ve used the emboss resist technique on some water colour paper using the snowflakes from Colourful Seasons. I’ve used Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party ink with my Aqua Painter.
The sentiment is heat embossed in silver and it’s from the Oh, What Fun stamp set.
You probably can’t see in the picture but I’ve die cut some Vellum snowflakes with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and attached them to my embossed snowflakes. I’ve then added an iridescent sequin as well.
I hope you like my card. Next up on the Blog Hop is Rachel. You’re going to love what she’s created this week.
Why not join in on our challenge? We’d love to see what you create.
Thanks for stopping by.
I love your twist on this card!! Even though we have a hot Christmas, I always love snowflakes!
Such beautiful colouring Peta, and I love the vellum snowflakes over the top. Such a lovely detail.
The inks swirled together have made such a pretty background for your card, Peta.
Your background is gorgeous, Peta. I love those soft aqua colours and the snowflakes are so pretty!
Emboss resist is so much fun Peta. Love how your colours turned out too…
Wow, so much gorgeous sparkle!! What a lovely card, and these colours together are awesome. I love the cute little sequin detail!! The snowflakes work so perfectly for the emboss resist!! Lovely CASE.
