Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. This week our inspiration comes from the Holidays section, pages 92-103 of the Annual Catalogue. You may have arrived here from Rebecca’s gorgeous project, thanks for continuing on with me. Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I’ve chosen the top card on page 103 of the Annual Catalogue and I’ve CASEd it nearly 100%. I love the colour combination, I’ve used Real Red, Old Olive and Night of Navy.
Although there is a SU promo on DSP at the moment I don’t have the Under the Mistletoe DSP so I created my own using off cuts of card stock.
I’ve added a layer of vellum over the top to soften these bold colours. The “Ho Ho Ho” is from Labels to Love stamp set. When I adhered this to my card I accidentally put it on upside down “Oh, Oh, Oh” lol. Luckily I was able to remove it and put it right way up.
The “Merry Christmas” is white heat embossed and it has an Everyday Label Punch behind it. I’ve finished my card off with a Night of Navy Baker’s Twine bow.
Next on tonight’s hop is the very talented Kathryn. Just click on the next button to hop right over.
It’s never too early to start making Christmas cards, we’d love to see what you create. Why not join in on our Weekly Challenge?
Thanks for stopping by.

Wow, this hand made DSP is awesome! What a fabulous way to use cardstock strips! I love it. Great case.
oh oh, oh, I had to look twice at the dsp to see that it wasn’t dsp! That’s awesome!
I like the striking designer series paper that you used and the Night of Navy just makes the tag stand out.
I love how you have made your own DSP background – so clever!
Wow, your “DSP” is great, you have it all lined up perfectly. Such a great way to create a background when you don’t have the right DSP on hand.
Your background DSP is ingenious, Peta. Such a clever idea and adds so much texture too. This is a great layout.
