Welcome to this week’s CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. This week our inspiration comes from the Tranquil Textures section, pages 154-163 of the Annual Catalogue. You may have arrived here from Rebecca’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me. Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I’ve had another busy week with more family Birthdays, more 6am starts at work and another class on Friday but the highlight of my week was seeing Pink performing on Tuesday night. Wow, she was fantastic.
This week I’ve chosen to CASE the Painted Harvest card on page 157 of the Annual Catalogue.
Although I do like the colours used for this card I decided to use a new colour I haven’t used yet. Merry Merlot is such a lovely rich colour I thought it would be perfect for this card.
My card base is Early Espresso with a layer of Merry Merlot then Wood Textures DSP. I’ve added a light wash of Crumb Cake to some water colour paper with my Aqua Painter. Then I stamped some random images from Timeless Textures all over it. I’ve used Merry Merlot, Call Me Clover, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake ink.
The sunflower is Rich Razzleberry and Merry Merlot with an Early Espresso centre. I’ve added some Burlap Ribbon and some Leaf Ribbon behind the flower. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings.
The next Blog to visit is the lovely Elizabeth. Just click on the button below.

You must be tired after a full week like you’ve had Peta! I’ve been amazed at how many ways this sketch has been CASEd on the blog hop, but each one is different – and gorgeous. So is yours.
Beautiful card, Peta. Love the colour combo.
Beautiful colour combination and I lvoe the woodgrain DSP behind. that little green leaf trim poking out is perfect.
I really like this Peta. A colour I haven’t been drawn to yet, but I love it teamed up with the wood DSP. Fabulous and feeling inspired now
