Hello and welcome to my blog. Happy EOFY everyone, it’s a busy time of year for me working in an Accountants Office but I’m not too busy to join in with the very talented crew from CASEing the Catty. This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing from page 159 of the Annual Catalogue. If you check your catalogue you’ll see there is only one card on this page!!! Wait until you see the many ways we’ve all interpreted this card.
You may have arrived here from Sandra’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me. Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I’ve kept my card fairly similar to the sample this week, using the same layout and colours.
My card base is Night of Navy and my stripey background is created with Night of Navy, Seaside Spray and Purple Posy ink. I’ve used the Bouncing Brayer technique for this panel, it’s an old technique but also really easy. Patrice Halliday-Larsen has a great Youtube video showing this technique. I’ve die cut a stitched line down the right hand side of this piece using the die from Stitched Nested Labels.
I’ve used the sentiment and dandelion image from Dandelion Wishes. I’ve added a little Wink of Stella to my dandelion but you really can’t see it in the photo.
Marvi is back to posing for photos although by the look on his face I’m not sure if he’s happy about it or not.
Next up tonight is Rachel’s beautiful project. Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.
We’d love for you to join this challenge. Click below and send us a request to join then just upload your new creation to the wall.
Thanks for stopping by.
I’ve never tried the bouncing brayer technique but it certainly looks effective on your card Peta. Lovely colours together
The background looks great! Can’t say I’ve heard of the bouncing brayer technique before so it looks like I have a bit of watching to do! Great card and I hope things will start to slow down a bit for you soon.
Such a pretty card! I really love that sentiment, and also how your dandelion runs off the main panel. Just gorgeous.
Well I love these colours together and the stripes are awesome!! Love this stamp set too. I should get mine out and use it more!! Thank you for the inspiration!!
Lovely card, Peta. Your striped background is fabulous.
Love your beautiful DIY stripes, Peta. Cool technique, I’ll have to give it a go 🙂 I love the way you’ve stamped the little petals flying off to the side of the card as well.
I have never heard of the bouncing brayer technique, I will definitely look this up as your card is beautiful.
Totally adorable seeing those dandelion seeds loating off the panel.
