Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at Caseing The Catty we are Caseing a Holiday Catty Punch Project.
You may have arrived here from Sandra’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me. Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I’ve chosen to CASE the Christmas Tree card on page 13.
Instead of Christmas Tree’s I’ve gone with Stars, die cut from Noble Peacock DSP and Foil Sheets, Copper Foil and Brightly Gleaming DSP.
My card base is Mossy Meadow with a layer of Very Vanilla. I’ve die cut the Very Vanilla with the largest Rectangle Stitched Framelit then embossed it with the Subtle Embossing Folder.
The sentiment is a piece of Very Vanilla/Copper Classic Weave Ribbon and I’ve also added a Star Design Element to one of my stars.
The Brightly Gleaming DSP is so gorgeous I couldn’t bring myself to throw away the negative space after I’d die cut my stars. This is such a simple card to make but I loved how it turned out.
Marvi wasn’t too happy to pose for a photo this week. Maybe he knows I’m leaving him again next week when I go to Melbourne for the AFL Grand Final.
Next up tonight is Judy’s beautiful project. Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.
We’d love for you to join this challenge. Click below and send us a request to join then just upload your new creation to the wall.
Thanks for stopping by.
Love it all Peta!!
these are both beautiful, but the negative space card is a real stunner. Very clever. Enjoy Melbourne!
Great case with the stars and I love that you created another card using the negative space so you didn’t waste the DSP.
Great CASE with the first card, but I LOVE the card using the negatives, Peta. Such a clever idea! Is Marvi happy or grumpy when you get home?
This is sooo pretty. I love those stars and the subtle embossing on the white layer really makes them pop even more. But the negative space card is a stroke of genius! Love it!
I loved making this card with you. I also thought what a waste with the leftovers and put them aside for future use. Enjoy the footy. We are taking Milo with us to Toowoomba. The funeral is on Monday afternoon and we are staying with my daughter Kate.
Oooh, fab card, and I love that you made a second with the negatives! I hope Marvi forgives you sooner rather than later LOL
Oh I love it with the stars!! They look stunning. And I’m with you, you can’t waste the negative space! It looks fab!!
