Hello and welcome to my blog. I’m back with CASEing the Catty this week after spending last week in Melbourne with my family, for my Mum’s 80th Birthday. We all went to the AFL Grand Final and although my team, Collingwood, did not make it to the final we had a great time.
This week we are CASEing from the Toile Tidings section of the Holiday Catalogue, pages 6-11. You may have arrived here from Tina’s gorgeous creation, thanks for continuing on with me. Make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I’ve chosen to CASE the card with the green wreath on it, top right of the above graphic. Green is one of my favourite colours but I’ve changed my card to White, Red and Gold.
My card base is Thick Whisper White then I’ve added a layer of Wrapped In Plaid DSP. Can you see the gold detail in the DSP, it’s really gorgeous in real life. My photos are not that great at showing it. I’ve added more sparkle with a strip of Real Red Glimmer paper down the left hand side.
The greeting is stamped in the new Gold Delicata Metallic Ink, these metallic inks look so good and are relatively fast drying. The wreath is die cut from Gold Foil using six of the same leaf from the Frosted Frames Dies. The sentiment is die cut with a Layering Circle Die and the curve of the leaves seem to follow the curve of the circle perfectly.
The inside has a mat of Real Red followed by some Whisper White and a strip of matching Wrapped In Plaid DSP.
Marvi has forgiven me for leaving him again. He was so cuddly when I got back from Melbourne.
Next up tonight is Rose’s beautiful project. Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.
We’d love for you to join this challenge. Click below and send us a request to join then just upload your new creation to the wall.
Thanks for stopping by.
Don’t you love it when things come together perfectly – those gold die cuts look like they were just made to become a wreath! Your card is so lovely, the gold highlights are spectacular. I’m glad Marvi forgave you!
The wreath looks great! Great job making this by putting the 6 leaves together. The red, gold and white look great together
Lovely card, Peta. Love the red, gold and white combo. Marvi looks very happy to have you back!
The gold wreath looks stunning!! Love the red glitter strip as well.
