Hello and welcome to my blog. I didn’t hop last week as I was in Sydney for Stampin’ Up! On Stage. I had such a great long weekend away with fabulous company, great food and of course some stamping.
This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing anything from the Annual Catty and giving it a Holiday Twist. I don’t want to alarm you but Christmas is only one month away!!! Have you started sending Christmas cards yet? If you like any of the cards I share please message me and I’ll post one out to you.
Christmas inspiration is all around you and I’m sure the crew have some fabulous projects to share with you this week. You may have hopped over from Rachel’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I’ve used the card on the far right of page 41 of the Annual Catalogue for my inspiration this week.
I’ve changed the colour to Pretty Peacock but kept to the same basic layout.
I’ve used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits to die cut the front of my card then I’ve added a piece of Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP to the rectangle. I’ve stamped the flourish from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set in Pretty Peacock. The holly has been Copper Heat Embossed then coloured with Pretty Peacock and Real Red Stampin’ Blends.
The sentiment is also Copper Heat Embossed and I’ve added some Fine Tip Glue to the holly to give it some shine.
I’ve added another holly leaf and a Copper Embossed sentiment to the inside of the card.
My assistant, Marvi, was on hand for the photo shoot today. I’m not sure if he liked my card or it bored him to sleep lol.
He did have a big day on Friday. I had two classes and there were so many people to meet and greet I think he wore himself out.
Next up tonight is Siobhan’s beautiful project. Just click on the “Next” button to hop right over.
We’d love for you to join this challenge. Click below and send us a request to join then just upload your new creation to the wall.
Thanks for stopping by.
Love the copper embossing with these colours Peta – looks great. And this is a super layout!
Marvi looks pretty happy there so I do think he likes it. Great card and I love the change in colour and your take on this card.
The DSP peeking through the window on your card is lovely! The holly on the front complements it so nicely. Marvi deserves a nap after a big day – I would too!
