Hello and welcome to my blog. This week at CASEing the Catty we are creating a project using our favourite retiring stamp set. You may have hopped over from Rachel’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
One of my favourite retiring stamp sets is Good Morning Magnolia, I think the large magnolia image is so versatile.
I’ve used a Smoky Slate card base and inked the edges of the next layer in Memento Black and stamped the large magnolia image twice in Smoky Slate ink. I’ve added some Memento Black dots from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set then “flicked” some Wink Of Stella over the whole card. I embossed some Whisper White card stock with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder and adhered it across the middle of the card.
I stamped the large magnolia on a piece of Whisper White card stock then just fussy cut the flower. I adhered some Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon behind the flower. The sentiment is from another favourite retiring stamp set, Itty Bitty Birthdays, and is white heat embossed on Basic Black card stock. Some Metallic Pearls finish off my card nicely.
Marvi was more interested in whatever was in the cupboard today. I got his attention by saying the word “snackies”, he’ll do anything for food.
It’s time to hop over and see Lauren’s wonderful creation. Just click on the next button below.
Your card is so beautiful I adore the soft colour combination. I’d do pretty much anything for snackies too! LOL!
Great choice of colours and textures, and I love the flicking!! And the white elements!! Great card.
