Hello and welcome to my blog. I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend. The weather in Queensland has been beautiful this weekend although the night time temperature has dropped to 12 degrees, that’s cold for us Queenslanders. I think we’re in for a cold winter this year.
This week at CASEing the Catty we are CASEing a Die Bundle from the Mini Catty. You may have hopped over from Tina’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of each post.
I’ve CASed the butterfly card on page 80 of the Mini Catalogue, the third card in from the left.
I’ve changed the colours and used the new 2021-2023 In Colours. Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.
My card base is Soft Succulent with a layer of Evening Evergreen. I adhered a 1.5cm strip of each of the new In Colours to a layer of Basic White. On another piece of Basic White I’ve used my Blending Brushes and diagonally coloured with the new In Colours. I made a stencil from Window Sheet and some retired circle punches then used a sponge dauber and Whisper White Ink to create a Bokeh effect over the top of my blended colours.
I White Heat Embossed three Dragonflies from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set then used the co-ordinating punch to punch them out. My sentiment is from the Lovely You stamp set and is also White Heat Embossed.
This is the best photo I could get of Marvi. He was enjoying the sun on his belly too much to pose for a proper photo.
It’s time to hop over and see Michelle’s wonderful creation. Just click on the next button below.
Oh, wow! Gorgeous! This card caught my eye for this week’s challenge, but I’m glad I didn’t make it, as no way could I make one as good as yours!
Snap!! I love your card – and the way you’ve showcased all the gorgeous new colours!! Brilliant idea to use those glorious dragonflies!!
Wow that’s so pretty!, It really showcases the new colours.
