Hello and welcome to my blog. This week as CASEing the Catty we are CASEing the Abstract Beauty Suite, pages 48-57 of the Mini Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Rebecca’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.
I’ve used the slimline butterfly card on page 52 as my inspiration although my finished card looks nothing like the sample card.
The sample card uses the Brilliant Wings Dies but I’ve used the Good Fortune Dies instead.
My card base is Night of Navy with a layer of Basic White card stock. I’ve used the Basic Borders Dies on the edge of my Basic White and Pool Party card stock. On a separate piece of Basic White I’ve used Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Markers to create a coloured background. I’ve die cut the flower image directly from my Basic White layer and attached the coloured piece behind then adhered the die cut back in place.
I’ve finished off my card with a sentiment from the Forever Fern stamp set, Iridescent Rhinestones and some Basic White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
I think Marvi was laughing at my card when I took this picture. Laughing because the ribbon was such a temptation to pull off.

The colouring behind the die cut is really lovely!! At first I thought it was the Marbellous paper!! What a fabulous card!! Love it.
Great idea to create your own colour background. Love the colours you’ve put together.
