Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we have a Sketch Challenge at CASEing The Catty. We’re using the sketch of the balloon card on page 18 of the Annual Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Rebecca’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.
I needed to make a birthday card for my partner who has a significant birthday coming up next week so I’ve used this sketch challenge to make his birthday card.
My card base is Basic Gray follow by a layer of Earthen Elegance DSP. I think the pattern on this DSP works perfectly with the motorbike. I’ve added some texture to the Basic White layer with the Metal Plate 3D embossing folder. The motorbike is die cut using the Legendary Ride Dies, I’ve used Basic Black, Basic Gray and two different shades of metallic silver from the Silver Foil Specialty Pack.
The sentiment is from the Charming Sentiments stamp set and is die cut with the co-ordinating Sentiment Silhouettes dies. I’ve also added some retired Adhesive Backed Studs.
Mr Marvi was outside in the morning sun so I took a quick picture. He’s really been feeling the cold here lately and has been very snuggly. We’re not used to overnight temperatures of 5, 6, and 7 degrees here in Queensland. Brrrrrr
I’m last on the hop this week so if you didn’t start at the beginning of the hop just click on the next button below and it will take you back to the start to Monique’s wonderful creation.
