Hello and welcome to my blog. This week as CASEing the Catty we’re CASEing our Favourite Retiring Punch Project from either Catalogue. You may have hopped over from Judy’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.
I’ve really stepped outside my comfort zone this week for three reasons. A stamped collage technique, using Crushed Curry (a little bit goes a long way in my book) and I’ve offset my layers (I so prefer my layer to be straight and even). But I just love the finished project.
I’ve used the “thank you” card on page 94 of the Annual catalogue as my inspiration, which uses the Inked & Tile Punch Pack.
My card base is Lost Lagoon followed by a layer of Inked Botanicals DSP. Crushed Curry isn’t one of my favourite colours however I think it really works well for this card. I’ve used a second piece of Inked Botanicals, in Lost Lagoon tones, and I’ve added some Lost Lagoon and Crushed Curry ink with a Blending Brush. I’ve used the Something Fancy Dies to make the “window” for my sentiment. Next I’ve White Heat Embossed a stamp from the Notes Of Nature stamp set.
I’ve stamped some leaves in Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock and a grid pattern and some splotches in Memento Black. The sentiment is from the Artistically Inked stamp set and I’ve added a few Adhesive Backed Sequins to finish off.
Marvi was hanging out on one of the bar stools in the kitchen. He barely fits but he doesn’t let that stop him. He usually sits there each night and watches me while I’m cooking dinner. He’s very opportunistic, you can’t turn your back on him for a second or your food is gone.
