Hello and welcome to my blog. This week we’re CASEing the colours of “To Market” DSP. The colours are Real Red Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Blackberry Bliss and Pecan Pie. You may have hopped over from Rochelle Blok’s blog, make sure you visit all the Design Team’s Blogs by clicking on the “next” button at the bottom of the post.
I wanted to use the new Frosted Forest Decorative Masks for my project however I found it quite challenging to come up with a design which incorporated all of the colours in one card, so I made three cards instead. I’ve used the “bursting with happiness” card above as my inspiration.
I’ve made all of my cards 10.5cm square. This was my first card using Pecan Pie as my card base, followed by a layer of Wood Texture Specialty Paper. Have you spotted this gorgeous Wood Texture paper hiding on page 100 in the Annual Catty? I’ve used Garden Green ink for the trees with a Pecan Pie outline. I’ve coloured some Basic Rhinestones with a Real Red Blend.
My second card has a Blackberry Bliss card base followed by the same Wood Texture Specialty Paper. I’ve used Blackberry Bliss ink for the trees with the outline Gold Heat Embossed. The gold embellishments are made using some Metallic Enamel Effects Basics. I squeezed it out into little dots onto my silicone mat, left them to dry then added them to my card.
The last card has a Garden Green card base and some Pumpkin Pie trees with a Pecan Pie outline. Again I’ve coloured some Basic Rhinestones with a Garden Green Blend. This is my least favourite card, Pumpkin Pie Christmas Trees, what was I thinking?
Which one is your favourite? Surely not the Pumpkin Pie trees?
Marvi didn’t look like he liked any of my cards. I don’t think he was thrilled about posing with three cards this week.
I’m last on the hop this week so if you didn’t start at the beginning of the hop just click on the next button below and it will take you back to the start to Andrea’s wonderful creation.

Three wonderful cards Peta. I love them all – even the Pumpkin Pie trees. The simplicity of design is delightful and the way you have combined the challenge colours is gorgeous. Marvi is special to sit for photos with cards. My Gemma just turns around with her back to the camera. xxx
Well, I think the PUmpkin Pie trees looks like autumn trees and so they’re great!! And I love a collection of the same cards – always looks great having cards together. And I’m impressed with your little dots of the enamel effects – my super power with this stuff is to make it a HUGE blob!!! Love it all.
