Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. I received some very exciting news last week. My shaker card was chosen as the winner of challenge #JOS002 and I get to be a guest designer for #JOS004 challenge. Woohoo!!!
Today’s card is for The Joy of Sets Challenge #JOS003. You may use any Stampin’ Up! stamp set, new or retired, but there’s a twist. There will be a new letter selected each fortnight and that letter must be in the name of the stamp set you use. For this challenge the letter is “C”.
Now I don’t have many stamp sets with the letter “C” in the name so I’m using a retired set called Sweet Cupcake.
I’ve made a Z fold card using Melon Mambo card stock and retired It’s My Party DSP. Z fold cards are so easy to make and they look really effective.
Here’s a photo from the top so you can see how it works.
I’ve used the retired Cupcake Cutouts Framelits (try saying that 3 times fast) to die cut the word “Sweet”…..
…..and to die cut the cupcake and candle. I’ve stamped the cupcake in Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo and adhered part of a Delicate White Doily behind it.
The best thing about a Z fold card is that it folds flat and fits in a standard size C6 envelope.
I hope you like my entry for the challenge. I love reading your comments.
A very ‘sweet’ card Peta – looks good enough to eat! Thanks for joining in with Joy of Sets Challenge.
A beautiful card Peta and it is good that we can use retired products when joining in the challenge.
A ‘Z’ fold card is one of my favourites and I love how you have made and shown the design. Thanks for joining us at Joy of Sets and look forward to having you as our guest designer soon.
Such a “sweet” card Peta! I love that you chose to enter a Z fold for this weeks challenge, and who doesn’t love Cupcakes! I adore your choice of DSP teamed with the cupcake bundle and the added addition of the candle and doily are just the loveliest touch. Hope you are having lovely weather in Caloundra – I used to live on Kawana Island many moons ago, and definitely miss the warmer weather during Perth’s chilly winters. Thanks for joining us again at Joy Of Sets Peta x
Thanks for your lovely comments Jackie. The weather in Caloundra is beautiful at the moment. Cooler nights but warm sunny days, the Sunshine Coast is such a great place to live. As a kid, I spent a lot of time in WA. My mum was born in Manjimup and we would spend every Christmas school holidays there visiting my grandparents.
Very pretty, I really must try a z fold soon.
Peta what a wonderful card! I love melon mambo too. I need to make more cards with this layout. Love it!
Your cupcake card is so pretty. I love that you used a doily so the cupcake has something pretty to sit on 🙂
