Welcome to my blog, I hope you are having a relaxing Easter long weekend. A fantastic way to relax is to create and I’m sharing another card with the Social Stamping Blog Host, where this weeks theme is Rainbows. You can work your way through the host by clicking on the next button at the bottom of the post or you can click here to go back to Kelly’s post where there’s a list of participants so you can continue your way around.
I can remember way back in Primary School my teacher taught me a really easy way to remember the colours of a rainbow. Using an acronym, my teacher turned it into the boy’s name Roy G Biv. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. Next time you see a rainbow you’ll be thinking “now what was that boy’s name again” lol
Using the Beauty Abounds stamp set and co-ordinating Butterfly Beauty Dies I’ve created an SU colour version of Roy G Biv. Poppy Parade, Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather.
I’ve added a die cut butterfly in each colour to match the stamping.
I’ve also added a few Basic Black butterflies to tie in with the black behind my stamped panel. The sentiment is from Very Versailles.
Next up is the wonderful Shannon Kissane. Just click on the “Next” button to hop over to see her beautiful creation.
Thanks for stopping by.
I am so glad you can remember the rainbow chant Peta! I never can! Such a pretty card splashed with happiness!!
They are cute butterflies, they look like they are flying away from bubbles x
Well those bubbles are just so bright and effective all lined up, but I love that you’ve cut out a matching butterfly in each colour too. Great colour choices Peta, Happy Easter.
A very pretty and delicate rainbow. I learnt the Roy G Biv acronym at school too! Chantell
Oh these bubbles are so glorious in the rainbow colours!! Such a happy card. Love the butterflies.
Love the combination of bubbles and butterflies. Great card.
Your bubbles and butterflies are perfect Peta! Such a lovely design. Mandy
Beautiful rainbow Peta! And thanks for the acronym. I’ve never heard it before, but boy do I need it (pun not intended!). Kelly x PS, I can’t see those dots as anything but cats now!
